At its core, Palmetto P.R.I.D.E. Sports seeks to develop our athletes holistically. Stated in our mission, we are committed to developing versatile citizens through Education, Exposure and Empowerment. This program is designed to develop career success plans for our athletes and provide guidance for their future endeavors. Whether they choose to obtain higher education, join the workforce, start a business, or join the Armed Forces, it is our mission to prepare them for life after high school and beyond.

Education

We recognize that education comes in many forms. From traditional academic classroom settings, to social and emotional education, Palmetto P.R.I.D.E. Sports is committed to holistically educating our athletes. Through dialogue, coaching, and planned information sessions, our athletes will begin to develop their goals for the future.

Exposure

“It’s hard to become what you cannot see”. Understanding that educating our athletes on opportunities is only one aspect of future success, exposure to these opportunities are just as important. Palmetto P.R.I.D.E. Sports will develop a network of committed volunteers across all industries that provide opportunities for job shadowing, internships and training.

Empowerment

Preparation for the world ahead is at the core of what we do. In a society that does not always provide safe spaces for minority youth, Palmetto P.R.I.D.E. Sports will be a safe haven for our athletes during and after their time with us. We focus on building up athletes to believe they can accomplish their goals and reach their highest potential.
